Hello everyone! Welcome, welcome! My name is Elisabeth Finn; I live in a ‘cottage’ in the basement of a house in Wapwallopen, PA & I love to make faerie cottages! (A true ‘Cottage Industry’ you could say!)

I received a B.A in Visual Arts from Penn State, as well as an Associates degree in Photography from LCCC. My main interest in these two degrees was Photography, but I am constantly exploring other art forms – and so began Beneath the Leaf! I just love ‘miniatures’ – they are just so, so tiny! And I love mosses & ferns & mushrooms, and everything wonderfully ‘woodsy’. I’ve been creating variations of my cottages for years, but recently began integrating ‘vintage’ pieces into the making of them. It didn’t take long to recruit my friends into helping me search out the perfect cottage-vessels, once you start seeing faerie cottages – believe me, you’ll see them everywhere!
So now I make these cottages to my heart’s delight, from an ever-growing pile o’ ‘patina-ed’ metal outside my cottage… Many more houses to come, I hope you all enjoy them as much as I love creating them!
